Roman Camp and Outdoor Pursuits

Hello everyone!

Just a quick update on everything that is going on here!

Well this week has pretty much been full of classes and laundry and cooking (because I don't have awesome Hein to make my food anymore). But I did do a couple exciting things.

On Wednesday I went with Adena, Keely, Allison, Dani, Jim, and Russell to the Roman Camp. There are no remains from the actual Roman Camp, which is thought to be built by the Normans not the Romans (but come on how exciting to Norman Camp sound?), so when you arrive you just have to imagine what it would have looked like. When I got there I couldn't imagine a Roman camp because what I saw just took my breath away it was so pretty. We went on the perfect day because there were clear skies and we were able to see the mountains.
The sign for the Roman Camp. This was only part of it but I could get the whole thing so I got the best part.View of the mountains and the city of Bangor from the Roman Camp.Me with that beautiful back drop! Breath taking!Another view! Amazing! This place was almost spiritual for me!I was feeling artistic again! This was on one of the trails and it is a wooden door to a secret garden... maybe the secret garden!

Today was my first day of my Outdoor Pursuits class! It was freaking awesome! We did high and low level ropes courses. I love that kind of cheesy team building stuff and I think it totally works. There are 11 people in my class and we all seem to get along very well with each other! I love class today and I hope this class continues to go this well throughout the entire semester! We had to wear special clothes that would keep us from getting all muddy and everything! This is why in my pictures we all look like big purple blobs! haha It was great!

(Since I am not the only one that took picture on my camera and we all look alike in our purple clothes and helmets it hard to tell people apart so... just think that all of the pictures are of me because I did the whole course!)Me suited up in all of my gear ready to climb!Someone walking on the 15 foot mini course. So we could prepare for the big course!Me and Adena! The STEVENS!!!Jenny and Steve!Dani coming down from 15 feet!Dani, Jenny, and Adena!Me and Dani with our tough faces!A view of the entire 50-55 foot course (without the zip line at the end)!Walking across the first section!Dani looking down!! AHHH!Leap of faith!Crossed the leap of faith!!About to go down the zip line! WOOO!

This was a great day! You will be hearing from me soon! We have a field trip on Saturday and I am sure I will have loads to tell everyone!!!

Have a good day!!
