Stonehenge and Bath!

Hello again everyone!

I just thought I would give an update on my weekend traveling.

We left dark and early Saturday morning for Salisbury and Stonehenge! We left around 6am so we would get there around noon. Sadly part of our group was too late to the train so Russell stayed back and rode with them. We wanted to make sure everyone made it safely. So Adena, Jim, Allison, and I headed out. The train ride was about 4 and a half hours but we had a couple stops. We went and got lunch once we arrived in Salisbury to wait for the other part of our group. They were coming in an hour after we arrived. We walked down to a restaurant and I had fish and chips it was very good. After we finally met up again. We hoped on a bus to Stonehenge. The bus was a double decker and we got great seats on the top deck at the very front! The ride was not long and there was always something to take a picture of out the window. Finally we arrived to Stonehenge and it was pretty much how everyone describes it. A bunch of huge rocks in the middle of nowhere! But it was pretty awesome! After finally arriving in Bath we went and checked into our hostel. It was called the White Hart Inn. After we got somewhat settled we went to dinner. We walked around Bath until we found this cute little Italian place. We ate there and it was very good! I had garlic bread and pasta with tomato sauce. It was very good. After that we went to McDonalds to grab ice cream. Then back to the hostel for a good night’s sleep.

I slept like a baby. It was very nice. That morning we all got ready and had some toast and tea for breakfast. Then we were off to explore Bath. We went to the Roman Baths, the Fashion Museum, and the Bath Abbey. All of those things were really cool. There was also a wide range of street performers. We saw these two guys who were wearing thongs and for their final stunt they put a sparkler between there butt cheeks and did a handstand on stilts. It was pretty crazy.

After all of this we headed off to the train station and came back to good old Bangor. It was really fun and busy weekend! I really enjoyed myself!

This week has gone by fast. I have had classes Monday and Tuesday. I was off today and did a lot of homework and stuff I needed to catch up on. I’m about to go eat breakfast tacos. Russell is making them for everyone. I sure hope they taste good!

I have OP tomorrow. I am so excited. I hope we do something fun. Wish me luck!
