Spring Break Part Two!

Hey again everyone!

I figured I would start where I left off...

31/3
On this day we packed up and left the Castle Hotel and drove to the Eden Project. It took us about an hour or so to get there and we arrived just in time! There were a lot of schools there on field trips and the place was packed with people but once you got into the gardens you could barely tell. There are three main gardens in the Eden Project: Outdoor Biome, Mediterranean Biome, and the Rain forest Biome. The inside biomes were the coolest parts to see! There was also another building called The Core and it was mainly and educational building because it talked all about how to be environmentally friendly and it was really cool to learn all about the different things. We walked around and had a great time. Before we left we stopped inside the gift shop and that was awesome because just about everything they sold was made from recycled materials.Pecan getting the car all packed upDad with our real rental carYAY!Horse made out of woodOne of the biomesThe CorePecan with the Eden Project in the backgroundAn alligatorPlants give life... oxygenThe seedPecan with a guy build from used metals partsFlowerI liked this sign... i might try it out... mightMe in the rain forest biomeWaterfall in the rain forest biomePecan with the waterfall inside the rain forest biomeCocoa plantPecan with his pastie and cakeMy lunch! After we left the Eden Project we drove straight out of Cornwall and headed for the Cotswold in England. We finally made it to Chipping Campden before sunset and we stayed at the Lygon Arms Hotel. It was a really nice hotel and we were very glad to have arrived. We went to bed that night ready to explore the Cotswold the next day.

The next day we spent in the Cotswold. After we woke up and had breakfast at the hotel, we got into the car and drove to the Cotswold Farm Park. We spent about two hours here feeding the goats and playing with the baby animals. There was an area of the park that had baby rabbits, goats, sheep, and guinea pigs that you could pet and sometimes feed. There was also a barn where all of the pregnant sheep are kept. Inside that barn I saw some lambs that were born at 7am that same morning. The farm had many endangered breeds of goat and cows. It was really fun to walk around and look at all of the different animals. I had a lot of fun here. Our hotel in Chipping CampdenEnglish countrysideMale pheasantFemale pheasant in the roadMore English countrysideMore English countrysideThis is a two lane highway... haha... seriouslyCotswold Farm ParkSpotted chickenCows!Pecan with a horseSome sleeping horsesPecan with some sheepMe feeding a goatA pigletA sleepy cowPecan with a big pigLots of pigletsOreo cowsThe Cotswold

After that stop we got back into our rental car and drove to Stow on the Wold and took a short walking tour. We saw some old stalks that people used to be put in when punished. We visited the cathedral and got a quick snack at the bakery. It was a fun stop and we were also told that the back part of the cathedral was inspiration for a certain scene in the 1st Lord of the Rings.Stow on the WoldMe in the stockadesThis inspired the doors to Moria in Lord of the Rings... Then we drove through Upper and Lower Slaughter. The views from there were very beautiful and my mom and I had a great time reminiscing about a trip we had taken there about 5 years ago.Another english highway... hahaLower SlaughterLower Slaughter again

After that we drove to Broadway for tea. While in Broadway we learned that they had the cleanest public restrooms in all of England. I thought that was funny. We had cream tea there and it was really good! Our rental car in the car park in BroadwayCountryside around Broadway

After tea we left to go back to Chipping Campden and our hotel. Before we got there we stopped at the smallest castle in the UK. It was really cool to go look at and we had a great time taking pictures at the top and looking out at the English countryside.Wild English deerThe smallest castle in the UKMe and Pecan with the smallest castle in the UKA view from the topAnother view from the topDad looking off the topSheep!!!Me and mom at the topDad at the topIn the middle of the castle you can see our shadows :-)Pecan on the car ride back to the hotel

After that we finally returned to Chipping Campden and took a small walking tour of the town. It was really fun walking around. The next day was spent driving to Bangor to grab more clothes for our trip to Belfast. Then we left Bangor and dropped our rental car off in Llandudno Junction. We hopped on a train for Liverpool and our hotel that night at the Holiday Inn Express by John Lennon Airport.

I will tell you all about the final leg of our trip in my next post! Have a great day everyone!
