It has been a while since I last posted but I have been busy! I had a great time with my mom and dad this past week and a half. We went a lot of places and did a lot of exciting things. I am going to tell you about the first part of our journey and then I will post the next parts later.
In many of the pictures I will post is a little Bennie baby that looks like a bear. His name is Pecan and he was sent on the trip with my parents from my oldest sister's kindergarten class. He is like a flat Stanley and the pictures will help her teach her class about the UK, in kindergarten terms. It was fun to pick good pictures for Pecan to be in!

After I met my parents in Llandudno Junction (my mom loved trying to perfect the pronunciation of this place in Welsh) we drive back to Bangor in our cute little rental car. My dad's first experience driving on the wrong side of the road went very well but he said he was a little scared. I would like to report that over the entire time we had a rental car he only hit 3 curbs and drove on the wrong side once (my mom and he were too busy looking at a house on the side of the road to pay attention to driving). :) Once we had arrived in Bangor we went up to my dorm room and I gave them the grand tour (it didn't last very long because he takes a total of seven steps to get from the door of my room to the opposite side).
After this I decided to take them over to Anglesey and show them where the Conway Center is. When we got there we decided to take the tour of Plas Newyedd. That is the place where the Lord and Lady of Anglesey live. Their house is right next to the Conway Center and the Conway Center is actually a part of Plas Newyedd but you could not tour it. It was beautiful on the grounds and the gardens on the grounds were huge! Inside the house was huge and there was a painting inside the dinning room that was about 52 feet long. It was a fun way to spend the afternoon and it helped to keep my mom and dad awake.
After we left Anglesey, my dad drove us back to Bangor and we checked into the Menai Hotel and put all our things inside the room. Then we walked down to high street and ate linner (the meal between lunch and dinner). After that I took them back to upper Bangor by walking up bitch hill. They both agreed that it was a "bitch" to walk up. Then we went back to the hotel and hung out in the room and that was the end of day one!

The next day we stayed in Bangor all day. After sleeping in until about noon, I got to give my famous tour of Bangor! (I have only given it twice but it is famous!) On our tour we walked to see the Standing Stones, then to the Roman Camp, and then to the pier. We had tea at the pier and stopped at one of the little stands on our way out and bought some Welsh souvenirs! Next we walked up to the Main Arts building and I took them inside the library. It was a fun day and I was able to catch up with my mom and dad. The day ended after we stopped in to get take away kebabs for dinner.

We left early in the morning and headed down to Cornwall. We were staying in the town of Tintagel that night at a cool castle hotel. First we left Bangor and my dad was feeling a little more confident with his driving abilities. We went through Snowdonia to get to the main highway in England. Then we stopped at Swallow Falls and took a couple pictures. I thought my parents would enjoy seeing that.
After a couple more hours of driving we arrived in Gloucester and went on a tour of Gloucester Cathedral. It was really fun looking around! After that we went into a small shop that had a lot of Peter Rabbit things because Gloucester is the place where the author of Peter Rabbit, Beautrix Potter, lived. After looking in the shop we ate lunch and hopped back into the car to make it to Tintagel before dark.
After another couple of hours of driving we made it to Tinatgel and the King Arthur's Camelot Castle Hotel. The view from the hotel was amazing and the outside of the hotel looked so nice. The inside was not that great. There were pictures of Katie Holmes and Suri and Tom Cruise and John Travolta with his family. I don't know how these famous people stayed in this hotel because our room was not celebrity fit in any way. Then we went to sleep.
The next day we went to the Eden Project but that will have to be left for another day. Have a great day everyone!
