Rock Climbing!!!

HEY!

My OP class on Thursday was pretty awesome! We went rock climbing! We drove to Holyhead Mountain and climbed up part of it. The first spot on the mountain we tried to go to was already full of people so we had to adjust our plans a little bit. We walked about a half a mile farther around the mountain and found the place that we wanted to climb. After we were finished our instructors told us that we had actually climbed something a whole lot harder than they had intended for us to climb that day. I felt really accomplished!

When we first got to the mountain we had to hike up this rocky trail until we actually got to the place where we could climb. After we got there we had to put on our helmets and harnesses and climbing shoes. Those climbing shoes were not all that comfortable. After that we set up and one person would climb, another would belay, and a third person would tend the rope. It was so much fun. When I climbed I did not get all the way to the top but I got pretty far. My feet started shaking and that's when I decided to come down. The scariest part of the day was trusting the person belaying you to hold your weight when you first leaned back to come down. After that it was smooth sailing.Adena and I excited on the bus ride to Holyhead MountainTrekking up the mountain. I had to carry a ropeHolyhead MountainStopping for a quick lunch break. The view! Good times!

I had so much fun and I think the day was very successful. I love OP. Next week we are either going sailing, sea level traversing, or surfing depending on if they have an instructor for that. Its gonna be sweet!

On Friday I had another pretty boring day. I just went to classes. I am pretty excited though because I only have 4 Animal Behavior classes left! Woo! Although I did go to Morrisons (that's the grocery store) twice and the second time I had to wait in line for like 45 minutes. It was crazy! Later that night I made dinner with Jim and Adena. I like hanging out with them. They're pretty funny!

Today is Saturday and I am going to go to Aber Falls. It is supposedly this cool waterfall right outside of Bangor. I can't wait to see what it looks like! It should be pretty fun! I'll let you know how it goes!

Peace out!
