Yesterday, I visited Aber Falls with Adena and Jim. It is a huge waterfall. It was a big adventure getting there. I think I walked probably about 3 or 4 miles yesterday. haha
We first walked down to the Bangor bus station and caught the number X9 bus to Aber. After we arrived in Aber we walked up where the trail for Aber Falls starts. Then we took the trail through Aber Valley all the way to Aber Falls. Then we took another smaller trail to another waterfall but it was not as big as Aber Falls. Then we walked back into the town of Aber and stopped at a tea shoppe. I got a scone with jam and cream! It was soooo good! After that we booked it to the bus station and caught the number 5 bus back to Bangor. The good part about this bus was that it dropped us off right across from the dorms. It was a really fun day and I have lots of pictures!
Today is Sunday and I went on a really long walk but I will have to post about that at a later time!
Last night was the St. Patrick's Dinner Dance for the Ulster Project Arlington. My mom and dad, Mike and Melinda McPherson attended. ('04s like to participate as much as we can!) I wanted to take this moment to say hello to everyone involved with the Ulster Project and let everyone know again how great it is! I was a participant in the summer of 2004 and it changed my life. I have met many people that I am still really good friends with today and I am visiting the girl who came over from Northern Ireland to stay with me in a few weeks.
If anyone would like more information about the Ulster Project here is the link for the website. http://www.upatx.com/
